The monthly information contained on this page is offered to help you live your daily life with spiritual awareness. The Power days impact your Being/soul (often, strong physical events occur in the following days). The Rune and Tarot cards help you to view what is happening with perspective – as do the wisdom quotes, gathered from all sorts of philosophers / spiritual leaders. The Mudra helps you to create a physical and mental state in which the energies of the month are used by you with Power. This information is obtained psychically by Kathy.
Note: Previous months’ information is available on the Newsletter sub-menu.
Power Days: 3rd – 4th, 10th - 11th, 14th – 16th, 19th – 21st, 25th – 27th, 30th - 31st
August’s Rune: The Rune for August is Mannaz (The Self), upright. “Remain modest – that is the Oracle’s counsel. Regardless of how great may be your merit, be yielding, devoted and moderate, for then you have a true direction for your way of life.
Be in the world but not of it. . . And yet do not be closed, narrow or judging. Remain receptive to impulses flowing from the Divine within and without. Strive to live the ordinary life in a non-ordinary way. Remember at all times what is coming to be and passing away, and focus on that which abides. . . This is a time of major growth and rectification and, as a rule, rectification must come before progress.
. . . be content to do your task for the task’s sake. this is more a problem for those whose eyes are always on the goal than it is for those who have not forgotten how to play and can more easily lose themselves in doing the work for its own sake. Herein lies the secret of experiencing a true present.”
August’s Tarot: The Tarot card for August is The Nine of Pentacles, reversed. “Move with caution.” (That is, act with intent and clarity.) Followed by The Four of Wands, reversed. “Peace, prosperity and success (after effort).“
The Prana mudra can be used whenever you feel drained or need an extra boost of energy. Good to use in the morning to awaken and fully embrace the new day. (Note: This mudra is especially good for August because it centers your energy and focuses you.)
Thumb, ring, and pinky are touching. Index and middle finger are extended.
Hold the finger positions with both hands, for at least a couple of minutes.
Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.
St. Francis de Sales

Few things are brought to a successful issue by impetuous desire, but most by calm and prudent forethought. ~ Thucydides
Make friends with the angels, who though invisible are always with you. Often invoke them, constantly praise them, and make good use of their help and assistance in all your temporal and spiritual affairs. ~ St. Francis de Sales
Affirm divine calmness and peace, and send out only thoughts of love and goodwill if you want to live in peace and harmony. Never get angry, for anger poisons your system. ~ Paramahansa Yogananda
If you must be in a hurry, then let it be according to the old adage, and hasten slowly. ~ Saint Vincent de Paul
God made time, but man made haste. ~ Irish Proverb
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. ~ Lao Tzu
Most men pursue pleasure with such breathless haste that they hurry past it. ~ Soren Kierkegaard
I’m in a hurry to get things done
Oh I rush and rush until life’s no fun
All I’ve really gotta do is live and die
But I’m in a hurry and don’t know why….
Roger Murrah & Randy VanWarmer
